Details: In contrast to his later output, which was to have a great influence on the rise of 1960s country, this collection of recordings from the singer-songwriter Roger Miller's early years in Nashville contains traditional-sounding songs like "My Pillow," "Poor Little John," and the sentimental "Wrong Kind of Girl," though hints of his later success are apparent in the sound effects and party atmosphere of the eccentric rock & roll song "Jason Fleming."
